We are creating a group of 300 people willing to commit to a one time investment of 30 minutes to do something magical and here’s how it will work: As soon as we have 300 people we will send out an e-mail (bcc’d so everyone’s information is confidential) with a set of directions to create a viral movement on all of the major social networks listed above. This e-mail will contain detailed instructions and the links to comprehensive resource and information pages on the following 4 areas of sustainability: food, energy, construction, and community/global change.

In one coordinated burst of support across all 6 platforms (taking less than 30 minutes of any on person’s time) we will “like” “tweet” and “up-vote” these topics to “trend” them – creating exposure to literally hundreds of thousands of new people interested in these topics; tracking the results and creating a set of tutorials and resources for others to follow and learn from while simultaneously making a HUGE leap forward for the sustainability and ecological living movement as a whole. This will be a one-time deal so send us an e-mail to be put on the list for the launch as soon as we have 300 people.

FAQ: Why 300 when the top of the page says 200?
Answer: Because we are accounting for a 30% lack of participation when the time actually comes and we’ve calculated that 200 is what is really necessary to create the desired affect. More is better but a minimum of 200 people participating is what we need.

WHAT IS IT?

It is a group of 300 people willing to commit a one-time investment of 30 minutes in creating world change by “trending” or popularizing a series of key pages on the topics of sustainable food production, alternative energy, sustainable construction, and community/world change simultaneously across the top 6 social media networks of facebook, Twitter, Digg, Reddit, YouTube, and StumbleUpon

HOW DOES THIS ACTUALLY HELP?

Sites like Digg and Reddit average over 8 million unique monthly visitors each with front page articles determined by two things: articles a member has shown interest in and the number of interests shown in an article. A specific campaign like this can push ideas to the front page and gain tens of thousands of views from topic relevant people that would otherwise never get exposure to what is being created or the ideas. In short, this is exactly how things become ‘viral’ and world-changing ideas become historical stepping stones to our future.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Join the growing list and participate for 30 minutes when we hit 300 people and send out the e-mail.

WHAT IF I DON’T AGREE WITH THE REFERENCED LINK?

Then do nothing or (gasp!) give us a ‘down thumbs’ vote lol. There is no obligation and free speech is a right that should be exercised regularly!

WILL I BE SPAMMING OR GET SPAMMED?

No and No. The sites we are using for our social media movement are specifically designed for sharing information and do not share or use your e-mails – you never get e-mail from facebook and you won’t from Digg, Reddit, YouTube, or the others either. We will blind-copy (BCC) the one e-mail we send out so even members of the group don’t have access to the personal information of other members of the group and the group is organized by one person only – me.

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND?

Send me an e-mail and I’ll remove you from the list or you can just ignore the one e-mail when it comes. As a computer guy, there is nothing more frustrating to me than getting hundreds of e-mails I don’t want… it is a waste of my time and invasion of my privacy and the last thing I’m going to do is become part of the problem when it is so easy to be part of the solution. Your information is safe.
